If you are a fan of anime trading card games, you should get yourself down to Manchester for September, where you will find tournaments for Naruto, Yugioh, Pokemon, Bleach, UFS and Full Metal Alchemist.

Free DVD competition at HMV Anime Day

The HMV Anime Day is on Monday 20th August 2007, from 1pm until 6pm at the Oxford Street branch in London.

ADV Films International have now sent us details of a competition they will be running on the day to give two attendees the chance to win free DVDs for the rest of the year.

Ninjas and Pirates invade ALCon

When you arrive at ALCon, you can choose to wear a bandanna  representing one of two teams - ninjas or pirates. During the weekend as people win competitions, points will be awarded to their team. At the end of the weekend the winning team will be announced.

Tomo-Dachi announces more guests

The Northern-Ireland anime convention Tomo-Dachi have issued a press release to say that this years guest of honour Mike McFarland (English language dub director and voice actor) will be joined by Stuart Claw, Hugh David, Sonia Leong and Emma Vieceli.

The convention will run at run at The University Of Ulster's Magee campus from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August 2007.

Pre-registration doesn't close until 30th July but accommodation booking closes on the 20th July, so book now if you haven't

Solid State Society at JapanEx London

Beez have already released "Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society" with the US English dub in Europe, but its not available to purchase in the UK until Manga Entertainment release it in August. However MCM Expo have now announced that it will be shown free at JapanEx London.
